Doug Thiessen - President, Chief Executive Officer

Thiessen has been with Alabama Ag Credit since 2007. In addition, he has over two decades of experience in the Farm Credit System, including with our cooperative’s funding bank, Farm Credit Bank of Texas; our regulator, the Farm Credit Administration; and a fellow Farm Credit lending cooperative in Texas. He also has worked for computer company Dell Inc. He serves on the boards of the Alabama FFA Foundation, Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Alabama Poultry & Egg Association. In addition he formerly served on the boards of the Alabama 4-H Foundation and the Alabama Agribusiness Council. Thiessen earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from Texas Tech University and an executive master of business administration degree from Troy University. He also is a graduate of the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking.
