At Alabama Ag Credit, we are proud to provide additional support for beginning farmers with our JumpStart Grants. In 2026 we will award five $10,000 grants!
About the program
- Five $10,000 grants will be awarded to beginning farmers in 2026.
- Applications will be accepted beginning July 3rd. The last day to apply is August 28th.
- Winners were announced in the Fall of 2026.
- Applicants will be asked to answer a series of questions describing their farming operation, business plan, projected financials, and projected income statement.
Applicant Eligibility Criteria
- Must have started farming within the past two years or plan to start a farm business in the next year.
- Operation must be headquartered in one of the forty counties served by Alabama Ag Credit.
- Must be at least 18 years of age; there is no maximum age.
