Everything you need to know before, during and after starting rural construction.
As a leader in construction loans, our team is here to support you throughout the construction process with helpful guidance and insights.
What Can You do with a Construction Loan?
Get the full value of your land
We recognize the equity in your land, existing outbuildings, and other site improvements as part of your down payment for your construction loan. That existing equity may reduce the amount of additional cash you'll need to contribute at closing.
Choose your builder
Choose the builder that's right for you. Unlike some lenders that require you to work with a builder from their preferred list, we let you select your own, as long as they meet our qualification requirements to help keep your project on track.
Mange Cash Flow
During the construction phase, you'll benefit from interest-only payments for up to 12 months, helping keep monthly payments lower while your project is underway. This gives you greater flexibility to manage cash flow and direct more of your budget toward building costs. Once construction is complete, your loan converts to a fixed-rate mortgage with terms of up to 30 years.
Manage Your Build
Our easy-to-use digital platform keeps your construction project organized in one place. Manage draw requests, disbursements, inspections, and project progress while staying connected with your builder and Alabama Ag Credit. Everyone can track the status of your project in real time, making the construction process more transparent and efficient.
