Stockholder Elections
Stockholder elections are held annually for the Alabama Ag Credit Directors and for the Association’s Nominating Committee. If you are interested in exploring a Board position or submitting your name for a position on the Nominating Committee, please review the information below and submit your interest.

Stockholder-elected directors serve staggered terms. In 2026, the following board positions are up for election for a 4-year term:
Position 1
Gulf Coast Region 4
Must reside in one of the following counties: Baldwin, Clarke, Conecuh, Escambia, Mobile, Monroe, Washington
Purpose of the board of directors
- Strategic Direction: Guiding the association's long-term goals, business objectives, and operating policies.
- Oversight of Management: Hiring, evaluating, and providing oversight for the CEO and senior management.
- Financial & Risk Management: Ensuring strong internal controls, monitoring performance, and managing principal risks (credit, operational, etc.).
- Compliance: Ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and ethical standards, including oversight of audit functions.
- Member Representation: Acting as fiduciaries for member-owners (farmers, ranchers, rural residents) to protect their interests and return value.
- Policy Setting: Establishing bylaws, policies, and procedures to guide operations.
Purpose of the nominating committee
Ensure voting stockholders have an independent, stockholder-controlled process for selecting director candidates
Identify, evaluate, and nominate qualified, willing candidates for each open director position
Provide a slate of at least two candidates for every open director seat to support fair choice and competition
Protect the cooperative structure by keeping director nominations separate from board member or management influence
