New and Returning Board Members Elected

Voting stockholders of Alabama Ag Credit have elected one new member and one incumbent to the Association’s Board of Directors. The board of directors are responsible for establishing policies, providing strategic direction, and overseeing all major institution functions. The individuals elected were:

  • Annie M. Dee, fulfilling a three-year term in an At-Large position
  • Larry H. Gibson, Jr., incumbent, fulfilling a three-year term in the Region 1 position

Annie Dee is president and part owner of Dee River Ranch, a 10,000-acre farm where the primary commodities are corn and soybeans. In addition, the ranch has over 1,000 head of Brahman and Angus crossbred cattle, along with pine and hardwoods planted on some of the acreage. She is also part owner and manager of Dee Farm, a general partnership which runs the farming operations located at Dee River Ranch, and Dee Farm Equipment, LLC.

Larry Gibson is president and owner of Gibson Forest Management, Inc. a forestry consulting firm established in 1994, and Gibson Timberlands, LLC, a land and timber company. He manages approximately 60,000 acres of timberland for clients in West Alabama and East Mississippi where he provides complete forest management services, and owns 1,600 acres of timberland where timber and wildlife are the primary commodities.

Alabama Ag Credit is governed by a Board of Directors that reflects the diversity of agriculture in the Association’s forty counties in central and southern Alabama.  Six Directors are elected by the borrower-stockholders and two are appointed by the Board for their outside expertise.
