Grant Opportunity Now Available

Are you an aspiring farmer in the lower forty counties of Alabama served by Alabama Ag Credit? A $10,000 grant could be the boost you need to kickstart your farming ambitions.

Doug Thiessen, President and CEO of Alabama Ag Credit, understands the challenges of starting a farm: "Starting a farm is no small feat. That's why Alabama Ag Credit remains committed to helping new farmers through its JumpStart grant program." Thiessen emphasized their dedication to fostering agriculture in Alabama, particularly in supporting these new ventures.

Both full-time and part-time farmers who have begun farming within the last two years or plan to start within the next year are eligible to apply for one of five $10,000 JumpStart grants. Recipients must be farming within Alabama Ag Credit's service area and submit a business plan. Interested individuals do not need to be current Alabama Ag Credit customers to apply.
